On the Road Again

On the Road Again

Gallery Events, Conversations & Coastlines

There’s something really rewarding about stepping out of the studio and into the gallery. To be meeting the people who connect with my work, hearing what speaks to them, and seeing those little moments of recognition when someone spots a place they know, or a piece of collage that makes them life or takes them by surprise.

Last month, I had the chance to do just that. Travelling around the country for a series of gallery events in some brilliant galleries. From coastal towns to busy city centres, each stop offered something different: relaxed weekend day crowds, lively evenings, and plenty of good conversations.

It’s always fascinating to hear which pieces resonate. Some were drawn to the layered detail of the London originals, others to the warmth and nostalgia in the harbour scenes or beach views. The new Summer Editions sparked great feedback too and it’s lovely seeing people spot something new even if they’ve followed my work for a while.

There’s often a moment during these events when we’re mid-chat, pen in hand, talking through the process, where I realise just how much these shared stories matter. Whether someone’s buying their first piece or just popping in for a browse, it’s the shared connection to a place, a memory, or a feeling that really brings the artwork to life.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to say hello and to the gallery teams who hosted with such care and warmth. If we didn’t cross paths this time, there’ll be more events on the horizon. And in the meantime, the studio’s already busy again… but more on that soon.
