I loved creating Summer in York. It’s such a vibrant and atmospheric city to paint. I used layers of collage and paint to build up the textures and details, giving a real sense of movement and life. York Minster draws you in through the busy streets, and I enjoyed playing with light and colour to capture that lively, timeless feeling you get when you wander through York. This piece is all about celebrating those little everyday moments in a place full of history.
